If you have enough keys, a Buy with Keys button appears. One click and the order is placed instantly — no payment needed.

Losing costs you −1 Golden Key.

But don't panic — your balance can never go below zero. If you're already at 0, a loss changes nothing. You just have to earn your way back up.

🗝️ Golden Key Rules

✓ Keys are tied to your verified email address. Log in on the store page first, then your key balance follows you across the site.
✓ Keys are earned in VS CPU mode only. Local 2-Player and Online matches don't award or deduct keys — those are just for fun.
✓ Your balance is stored server-side in the database, not in your browser. Clearing cookies or switching devices will never wipe your keys.
✓ When you redeem keys for a product, the order is marked as paid immediately. No waiting, no payment processing — the key is assigned to your account the same way as a normal purchase.
✓ Not every product accepts Golden Keys. The admin sets a key price per product — if no key price is shown, it's cash only.
✓ Your balance floors at zero. You can never go into key debt, no matter how many games you lose.

Do I need an account to earn keys? ▶

No account needed — just a verified email address. Head to the store, enter your email and confirm the code, and your key balance is active. The same email used on the store is the one tracked on the Ping Pong page.

How do I know if a product can be bought with keys? ▶

Any product with a 🗝️ Golden Key price badge on its card can be redeemed with keys. Once you're logged in and have enough keys, a yellow "Buy with Keys" button will appear below the normal order button. If the button is dimmed, you don't have enough keys yet.

Can I buy a product with keys AND cash together? ▶

No — it's one or the other. You either pay with cash (PayPal / Interac) or with Golden Keys. There's no split payment. If the key price is set to 0, you can claim the product for free using keys alone.

What difficulty should I play at to earn keys? ▶

Keys are awarded based on the match result only — win 7 points before the CPU does. The game progressively increases difficulty as you score more points, so the challenge scales naturally. There is no minimum difficulty requirement.

Do keys expire? ▶

No. Your Golden Keys have no expiry date. They'll sit in your account until you spend them or lose them in a game. Keep stacking.

Can I transfer or gift keys to someone else? ▶

Not currently. Golden Keys are tied to your verified email and cannot be transferred, gifted, or traded. Every player builds their own balance.
